From somewhere in my past I have a memory of delicious Valentine’s Sugar cookies. Oddly enough I couldn’t tell you where I had them, nor who made them, however, I certainly recall their taste. Unlike any other sugar cookie I’ve had, they were moist and flavourful and, apparently, unforgettable.
Over the years I’ve baked many a sugar cookie, but alas none were quite as good as those from my childhood…until NOW. Thanks to two blogging baker’s I’ve found a recipe that recreates the long lost cookie of my past, and lucky for me it’s come around just in time for Valentine’s Day. So here you have it…Key to My Heart Cookies!

I'm a local Vancouverite in search of good food, cataloging my experiences along the way, for better or worse.
I hope you'll join me as I open my heart, and stomach, to explore new foods and flavours, both in the kitchen and out.

Just an FYI – meringue powder at Michaels Craft store.
Michael’s, of course!! I hadn’t thought to check there, thanks!
>Thanks V! I actually picked up the decorative locks and pins at a cute little craft shop just down the street, Urban Source. I'd recommend checking them out if you're feeling crafty.
>OMG – so awesome! What did you use for the locks?
